My daycare kids have made dozens of flower crafts over the years so I thought it would be fun to round upour favourites and put them right here in one place for you.
We also love to incorporate both real and artificial flowers into our playful learning activities and we have some great examples to share with you.

Using real flowers for our flower crafts and activities activities allows children to examine nature up close, and the flowers’ colour, texture and scent provides a wonderful sensory experience.
Using artificial flowers for crafting is an inexpensive way to make beautiful, colourful crafts that really look great. I buy a lot of ours from the dollar store. I keep a stash handy in the craft rom and several bunches in the yard for play.

I just LOVE these paper plate gardens! We made them for our “G” craft in our A-Z paper plate series. This is such a great spring craft for for toddlers and preschoolers.

This flowery paper bag tiara is easy to make with a paper bag and some artificial flowers. The process allows kids to experiment with a low heat glue gun, and the tiara is fun for dress up play.
