How to Use the Alphabet Worksheets
Use these alphabet activity letter worksheets to teach letter recognition and letter formation in a way that is hands-on and engaging. Change up the supplies and manipulatives you provide to make it fun and exciting for students.
To begin, students will trace the letter in the middle of the sheet by following the guide lines. Then students will search around the sheet to locate all instances of the letter. There are 5 uppercase and 5 lowercase instances of the letter on each page.
When they find the letter, they will color it, dot it with a dot marker, or cover it with a manipulative like mini erasers. This means you can choose the option that works best for you.
One advantage to using manipulatives like mini erasers is that you can make the alphabet pages reusable. Just slip sheets into write and wipe pockets after printing them. Then students can use dry-erase markers to trace the letters and mini erasers to cover the letters. When they are done, they just remove the mini erasers and erase the letter. Then the sheets are ready for the next student to use.
