I was scrolling through all of my Christmas posts the other day, and couldn’t help noticing that a lot of the homemade ornaments we’ve made over the years are Christmas TREE ornaments. What I mean is – these are Christmas tree crafts that look like actual Christmas trees.

I thought it would be fun to do a little round up, and put all of our Christmas Tree crafts, ornaments and activities right here, in one place for you.

These simple button Christmas trees were fun for the toddlers to make.  The kids LOVE the silly painting technique we use (it includes a cardboard box and a whole lotta shakin’), and they enjoyed colour-co-ordinating our their button colours to the colours of paint on their trees.

Similar to our paper cone tree ornaments, these wool wrapped Christmas trees help toddlers and preschoolers strengthen their wrapping and winding skills.  Painting and preparing the tree before wrapping was an activity in itself.

These layered paper Christmas trees were very interesting to make. First my preschoolers learned how to make different sized cones from circles of paper, and then they had fun co-ordinating coloured, patterned paper to build their paper Christmas trees with.
