As a leader of the American civil rights movement, he organized a number of peaceful protests as head of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, including the March on Washington in 1963.

Time needed: 1 hour

How to Draw Martin Luther King

  1. Make guidelines. Draw an oval.

  2. Add the neck and the shoulders.

  3. Draw two eyes.

  4. Add nose, mouth and ears.

  5. Add hairline over the top of his head.

  6. Lower the front hairline a bit, add moustache.

  7. Erase head line, and draw a collar.

  8. Add a tie and jacket. Write name at the top.

  9. Trace with a marker and color with crayons.
