How to Make a Thanksgiving Table Runner
MATERIALS
- Kraft paper or easel paper
- Sharpie marker
- Drawing tools
INSTRUCTIONS
- Prep your runner
Start by rolling out and cutting your kraft paper to fit your table.
We find that kids often get inspired by a frame, so we traced a plate and added some simple decorations for the kids to draw inside.
Then, set out whatever drawing tools you’d like.
- Let your kids decorate the table
This is a classic art invitation: leave out some art supplies and let your kids do their thing!
As the kids drew, we talked about what we are thankful for, so they’d have plenty of ideas to work from.
- Enjoy your tablescape!
Once your kids are finished with their drawings, enjoy your beautiful table runner as you have your Thanksgiving meal!
We hope you try this art activity this year to connect and create with your family! Plus, you’ll have a table runner that you’ll want to keep year after year.
