Creative Way to Make Your Holidays Shine
Got fans of the Nightmare Before Christmas movie? This frugal and easy-to-make craft featuring Jack Skellington is sure to be a hit!
In our home, there’s a serious debate about the best holiday. Two of my boys pick Halloween because they love dressing up in costumes and all the spooky stuff. My other boys choose Christmas for a number of reasons – one of which is decorating.
My oldest is a natural born leader and organizer. And one of his favorite things to do is coordinate planning and preparing for holiday decorating with his brothers.
Around mid-October, he takes inventory of our holiday decorations and makes note of what needs replaced and what to add. Last year, he was thrown for a loop when one of his younger brothers started to protest, “It’s not even Halloween yet! Can’t we just enjoy our favorite holiday before you take over?”.
After a bit of back and forth, the boys arrived at a compromise. Each boy would make this DIY Jack Skellington ornament (and add their names) to combine Halloween and Christmas. They could use their ornaments for both holidays!
