How to Make This Popsicle Stick Gingerbread House
01
Prepare popsicle sticks
Paint all the popsicle sticks brown. Wait for the paint to dry.
Prefer not to use paint? Use markers or tempera paint sticks!
02
Glue popsicle sticks
Lay eight popsicle sticks side by side. Lay two more crosswise and cut them off so there is no overhang. Add glue to the two crosswise sticks.
Lay out five more, perpendicular to the first eight, across the top. These will form the roof. Glue together.
03
Glue popsicle sticks
Lay two more popsicle sticks at an angle to form the roof’s peak. These sticks will also need to be glued on and trimmed slightly.
Cut the five roof sticks so there is no overlap.
04
Add door
Cut out shape of door from felt. Use green or whatever color that you’d like. Glue onto popsicle sticks.
05
Add roof decorations
Glue red, white, and green pompoms to the angled roof pieces as gumdrops.
06
Add more decorations
Use foam stickers, sequins, washi tape, and other decorations for your DIY gingerbread house. Glue a small pom pom on as the doorknob.
