Make Learning About Careers Fun for Kids
Are you planning and preparing for an educational theme about jobs? Maybe your students have been asking questions about different careers? Or perhaps you’d just like some simple print-and-go activities to use when you need something quick?
Well, these jobs coloring pages (with color by number activities) are awesome for all of that and more!
When young learners are curious about occupations, I think it’s an incredible idea to keep that interest going. When my boys were little, they’d ask me all sorts of questions about what people do in a variety of jobs.
Most of these questions were about more well-known careers (like teacher and doctor). Bear (boy #4) usually had interesting queries, like “What’s is someone called that studies spiders?” (an arachnologist) and “How do I become a map maker?” (a cartographer).
As you read books and watch movies with your kids, I encourage you to take time and discuss the different jobs that characters have. It’s an easy way to explore occupations – just like these jobs color by number pages!
Find Out More About These Jobs Coloring Pages
In this free set, there are eight color by number pages inspired by types of jobs.
Each page has sections with numbers to guide on which color to use in that section. Your students will use the code at the top of the page to reveal the mystery scene. They’ll get to practice number recognition, color recognition, and color names! Oh, and there are spaces to record name and date.
These printable coloring activities give children opportunities to follow instructions, use creativity, and strengthen hand muscles. Other benefits include boosting fine motor skills, sense of accomplishment in completed work, and color plus number recognition.
These 8 jobs color-by-number activities have themes of:
- Teacher (with heart on mug, book, pencil, and apple)
