How to Make the Paper Bag Turkey Craft
What you need:
- printable template (optional)
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- paper bag
- construction paper (white, red, yellow, and orange)
- markers (black and brown)
Step by Step Tutorial
You need one paper bag to make one turkey. Any size works out well.
Make sure the bottom faces up and stays folded.
Have your little ones cut out two big white circles from construction paper (or use our template) for the turkey’s eyes and glue them to the top. They can also use large googly eyes.
Draw two circles with a black marker for each eye.
Cut out the wiggly turkey wattle from red construction paper.
Cut out a yellow triangle for the beak.
Glue the pieces together – glue the wattle first and then the beak.
Let’s make the feathers. Use yellow, orange, and red construction paper to make the tail extra colorful.
For easy cutting, stack the colorful construction paper pieces one on top of the other.
Draw a feathery shape on the top construction paper.
Carefully cut out with scissors.
You’ll have many colorful turkey feathers made in one go!
Draw feather patterns on each feather. Start gluing the feathers on the back of the paper bag.
Alternate between colors.
