How to Make the Paper Reindeer Gift Bag
What you need:
- pencil
- scissors
- glue
- ruler
- paper bag
- white paper
- color paper (brown and red)
- markers (black and white)
Step by Step Tutorial
Grab a paper lunch bag of any size.
Flip it over so the bottom of the gift bag faces the table and is positioned at the bottom.
You can use a ruler to draw a horizontal line.
Then, create a triangle by drawing diagonal lines.
This will help younger kids in making the paper gift bag.
You can also skip drawing the lines and just freestile it.
Cut out the left and right triangle parts to give the paper bag a pointy top.
Fold down the first layer of the upper triangle.
We’ll be cutting of the other one.
Cut off one folded triangle.
Your paper bag should resemble the shape of a house.
Fold over the triangle, closing the bag, to make a nice fold. Open it up again.
Gently open the paper bag.
Then, flatten the bottom to stand upright.
Now it’s time to transform the bag into a reindeer!
Have your kids cut out two white paper circles and a larger red one for the eyes and nose. You can also use googly eyes and a red pom pom.
Glue the eyes and nose to the triangle, avoiding gluing the nose to the bottom part of the bag so you can insert treats later.
Draw the eyes with a black marker, adding some shine with a white one.
For the antlers, have your kids fold a piece of brown paper in half and draw one reindeer’s antler on it.
Cut out the shape to get two antlers.
Glue the antlers to the front of the paper bag.
Your paper reindeer gift bag is now complete!
It’s time to fill it with treats and secure the bag by gluing the nose.
Your children will be proud to share their unique creations with friends and family this holiday!
