Learning the ABC’s can be tough so it’s our job to make things easier for kids – and one way to make learning about the letters more fun is to add these cool printable alphabet letter crafts to your lessons (the black and white version is available as a free printable).
These fun crafts are a great addition to your letter of the week activities as we prepared two different crafts per each letter (one for uppercase and one for lowercase) and all are available in black and white as well as full color versions.

Alphabet worksheets are handy for learning the ABC’s but a hands on craft activity goes a long way. It makes things even more fun and as it is a hands on activity, the learning is more dynamic.
How to Make Alphabet Letter Crafts
What you need:
- our printable template (grab the black and white version at the end of this post for free or get both black and white and full color version from our membership here)
- regular print paper or cardstock
- scissors
- glue
- coloring supplies if you are using the black and white version
Step by Step Instructions
Print out the desired letter of the alphabet. If you are printing the black-and-white version, have the kids color in all the parts of the template first.
We’ve included some simple tracing exercises on each of the sheets, so have the kids trace along the lines to practice their writing.
These really are a fun way to practice the alphabet.
Cut out all the template pieces. Have the kids assemble the characters – each of the sheets includes a visual of the assembled craft that kids can follow to make their own.
