What types of doors fit GlideLok baby door lock?

Both interior and exterior doors, including French doors. (For exterior doors, you will likely need to remove GlideLok’s spacer bar.)

With spacer bar removed, GlideLok fits doors up to 1-13/16″. With spacer bar intact, doors up to 1-3/8″.

What is GlideLok toddler door lock made of?

It is made of durable metal (not flimsy plastic).

Can GlideLok child proof door lock operate from BOTH sides of the door?

Yes, GlideLok door safety lock sits on top of your door like a saddle, so it is accessible from both sides.

BEFORE ORDERING, CHECK YOUR DOOR TYPE & DOOR THICKNESS. Works on most hinged doors up to 1-3/8 inches thick (or up to 1-13/16 inches thick after removing GlideLok’s spacer bar). OK for interior and exterior doors, French doors, and doors with knobs, levers or large / uniquely shaped handles. NOT compatible with any type of sliding door on a track, such as sliding glass doors, bifold doors or pocket doors. Also NOT compatible with patio screen doors, storm doors, double doors that swing both ways, or metal door frames.
MUST DRILL 1 SCREW (INCLUDED) INTO YOUR DOOR FRAME. The screw goes on the side of the door WITHOUT the hinges. For exterior doors, this is typically the exterior / outside part of your door frame. (But the GlideLok can still operate from either side.) You must be able to reach the top of your door to slide the GlideLok back and forth.
SITS ON TOP OF YOUR DOOR SO KIDS CANNOT REACH IT. Unlike most door lever locks, door knob covers or other door locks for kids safety, the GlideLok rests on top of the door similar to a saddle. So it’s fully out of your child’s reach to mess with it. The GlideLok also blends nicely with most home décor, so no one will realize it’s there.
ADULTS CAN OPERATE THE GLIDELOK FROM EITHER SIDE OF THE DOOR. Unlike most door handle lever locks, you won’t be trapped on the wrong side of the door while your kids are left separated from you on the other side. The GlideLok can also be left disengaged if you don’t need it for an extended period, so you wouldn’t need to unlock it each time.
