These printable show the number cards are so easy to prep! Just print the sheets out and cut the cards apart. Then laminate them for durability. Or you could keep four cards to a page and slide the pages into wipe and write pockets to make this a print and play activity!
Setting Up the Pumpkin Number Task Cards

Supplies Needed:
- Pumpkin Number Cards (button to download at the bottom of this post)
- Pumpkin mini erasers, orange craft pom poms or another counter option
- Write and wipe pockets (optional)
** Just make sure you don’t use small pieces with students who still put things in their mouth.
Directions:
- Print the pumpkin task cards and laminate.
- Store the cards and counters in a mesh bag or task card box for easy access.
Students can also orange play dough to make small balls and count those out on the cards.
Using the Pumpkin Counting Cards
Using these free printable number cards is simple! Students will count out and show that many for each number card. Each one features a ten-frame or twenty-frame that students can use to show the number while counting out that many.
While using the task cards students will engage with numbers 0-20, so it is perfect for number recognition and counting practice in kindergarten.

This number sense activity would be so beneficial for multiple levels. Students can work on numbers 0-5 or numbers 0-10 and students who are ready for teen numbers can use the 11-20 cards as well.
Another option would be to place your own orange dot stickers or pumpkin stickers on the cards and use them in math centers as a reference.
If sliding the whole sheet into write and wipe pockets, students can use dry erase markers to draw in pumpkins or orange circles on the cards.
