How to Play the Snowflake Matching Game.
There are a few ways you can use these snowflake matching cards with your kids.
Snowflake Matching Halves Game.
To play a simple matching halves game, simple print out the snowflake cards and cut each one in halve down the centre (there is a dotted line on the printable to help you!). Mix up the cards and invite your child to find the two halves of the snowflake that match.
This is a great snowflake symmetry game, and a great opportunity to talk about how snowflakes always have 6 points and are always symmetrical.

If you are keeping the cards whole, print two copies of the cards. If you are cutting them into matching halves cards you only need to print them once.
For both game options, place all the cards face down, and take turns turning over two cards. If you find a match (either two snowflakes the same, or two halves that go together) you get to keep those cards and have another turn.
