This is a great fall craft, but it can be done any time of the year.
Using dry leaves is the best, but you can make this one with fresh leaves as well (it won’t hold up though).
How to Make Toilet Paper Roll Tree Craft Idea
What you need:
- scissors
- glue
- (blue) cardstock
- paper roll
- fresh or fallen leaves
Step by Step Tutorial
We’ll need a sheet of cardstock or cardboard to make this one.
Carefully cut the toilet paper roll in half along its length.
Set one half aside for this project.
Apply glue to the edges of the half of the toilet paper roll.
Glue the toilet paper roll to the bottom part of the light blue cardstock. This makes the tree trunk.
Begin gluing the leaves to the cardstock.
Gradually add more leaves.
You can even layer the leaves one on top of the other to make a fuller canopy.
Continue adding leaves until you’re satisfied with the overall appearance of your tree craft.
Simple and creative!
If you used fresh leaves, we recommend snapping a photo of the finished craft.
We really like how this tree canopy looks!
