I made wine cork angels, snowmen, Santas and nutcrackers the other day to give along with the wine I’m giving as gifts this Christmas. You just hook the wine cork ornament over the neck of the bottle, and ta-da, a bottle of wine with a little homemade ornament for the recipient.
Because I have an abundance of wine corks at the moment, I got to thinking I could create a few more cork ornaments so I’d have a variety to choose from when giving a bottle of wine.

We’ve been watching some classic Christmas movies here in my daycare this past week, and the kids LOVE Rudophn. As a result, we’ve made a several reindeer ornaments in the past few days.
Naturally, after making our wine cork snowman and angel ornaments, I figured we should make some wine cork reindeer.
They were super-easy to make, and they turned out really cute.
How to Make our Wine Cork Reindeer Ornament
Supplies:
- wine cork
- beige or brown pipe cleaner
- googly eyes
- red pom pom
- hanging thread/cord
- glue gun
Making your wine cork reindeer:
We’ve used a red pom pom so our wine cork reindeer will look like Rudolph. Regular reindeer are totally acceptable, so if you only have brown or black pom poms, use one of those for your reindeer’s nose.
Glue the pom pom to the bottom-front of your wine cork and glue the googly eyes slightly above the pom pom.
Next, glue the middle of the pipe cleaner just above your reindeer’s eyes.
Twirl each end of the pipe cleaner around your finger to form the reindeer’s antlers.
Cut a piece of metallic thread or cord and glue each end to either side of the top of the wine cork.
Hang your wine cork reindeer on your Christmas tree, or drape around the neck of a bottle of wine.
