This adorable wine cork snowman ornament is quick and easy to make, and a fun add-on when you’re gifting a bottle of wine to someone this winter.

I love to gift bottle of wine to friends, neighbours, teachers etc. at Christmas, and these cork ornaments are a lovely little “extra” to include with the gift.
You’ll also love the cork reindeer and angels we made this way.
You just slip the ornament over the neck of the bottle, and voila… the recipient gets a cute little decoration to hang on their Christmas tree along with their bottle of wine.
FYI: If you’re looking for gifts to make with empty wine bottles, check out our painted wine bottle watering cans (great for watering indoor plants, and really fun to make), and our tissue paper decoupage candle stick holders (great gift for kids to make for a parent or grandparent).

How to Make a Wine Cork Snowman Ornament
- Paint the cork
Paint your wine cork with white acrylic paint and let it dry.
- The snowman’s face:
Using a hot glue gun, or a low-heat glue gun if you’re working with children, glue the black bean eyes and the felt or foam nose for the snowman’s face. Dot the eyes with a paintbrush dipped in a bit of white paint.
- The scarf:
Criss-cross a piece of ribbon around the bottom of the cork and glue in place with the glue gun. Add a button where the ribbon overlaps.
- The hat:
Glue the large black pom pom to the top of the cork and glue the smaller pom pom on top to make the snowman’s top-hat.
- Hang your ornament
Glue a length of metallic thread (or ribbon or yarn) to the top of the snowman’s hat for hanging.
